Dallas Knights are a modern, acappella quartet
who sing four-part harmony in a blend of many different styles including
Barbershop, Jazz, Pop and Gospel. In 1994 Dallas Knights were crowned
Southwestern District Champions (5 State Region including Arkansas, Louisiana,
New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas) of the Barbershop Harmony Society (SPEBSQSA
Inc.)
The group consists of Steve DeCrow, Tenor;
Michael I. Borts, Lead; Scott "STRETCH" Smith, "World's Tallest Baritone"; and
Graham Smith, Bass. All four Knights are members of the eleven-time International
Champion chorus of the Barbershop Harmony Society, The Vocal Majority. Dallas Knights have recorded two CD's entitled "Knights to Remember" (1996), "People Get Ready" (2002) and are featured on two recordings by The Vocal Majority. Graham, Mike and Steve have also recorded CD's as solo artists. Dallas Knights have performed for audiences in numerous locations internationally and domestically including: Cardiff, Wales; Glasgow, Scotland; Harrogate, England; Anchorage, Alaska; Indianapolis, Indiana; Salt Lake City, Utah; Nashville TN; Durham NC; Charlotte SC; Los Alamos NM; Bakersfield, California; Fresno, California, Liberal, Kansas, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Houston, Texas; Lafayette, Louisiana; Beaumont, Texas; Tulsa, Oklahoma; Little Rock, Arkansas; Austin, Texas; The Ballpark in Arlington (Texas); The Majestic Theater, Dallas; The Meyerson Symphony Center, Dallas; McFarlin Auditorium, Dallas; Eismann Center, Richardson; Bass Performance Hall, Fort Worth.
